Go Green

The legal profession is not known for being green. In an effort to reduce the size of our carbon footprint however, Ansell & Anderson has implemented some new greener practices. We now use a service which shreds and then recycles all of our white paper which would have otherwise been sent to the landfill. Also, since most business parks like ours do not offer recycling service, an employee now takes all cans and cardboard for recycling. Admittedly, this may seem a little behind the times, but progress is progress. One of the more interesting and newer practices is our use of corn resin based cups instead of plastic cups or bottles of water for our clients and use around the office. These cups look and feel like plastic, but are 100% biodegradable and actually cost less than regular plastic cups.

While we still need to keep paper copies of every document, communication and note, we have been able to cut down on the amount of paper we use. Standard practice has always been to send formal correspondence through the mail. With the influx of technology in almost everyone's personal lives, some clients are now asking us to email everything to them, including draft documents, appointment reminders and billing statements. Not only does email cut down on the amount of paper that we use, but also the energy and resources that it takes to get the letter or package from our office to your mailbox. If you would like us to send correspondence to you through email, please sign up below.
